Faculty Recognized for Outstanding Performance

Roberts Wesleyan University annually recognizes faculty members for outstanding performance during the academic year. The following awards were presented during the Faculty Awards Luncheon on May 5.

The Darlene E. McCown Faculty Service Award, presented annually to a faculty member whose outstanding service to others and extraordinary caring as a member of the faculty, was awarded to Associate Clinical Professor of Nursing Laura Coles. Laura is also the Director of Traditional Undergraduate Nursing Clinical Education.

The Donald Mohnkern Academic Advisement Award, presented annually to a faculty member in recognition of excellence in the academic advisement of students, was awarded to Associate Professor of Education and Director of the Undergraduate Program, Emily Robinson.

The Barbara S. Muller Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence is presented annually to faculty members in recognition of effective teaching. The following professors were recognized:

Assistant Professor of Psychology, Ashley Cooper 

Assistant Professor of Nursing, Elenice Lima

Director of Choral Activities, Adam Potter

Dean of the School of Business, Laura Falco

Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies, David Carr
