Meet Lunex Illozier ‘25 (Business Administration)

Meet Lunex, a talented professional tattoo artist with entrepreneurial ambitions. Looking beyond graduation, Lunex envisions establishing profitable businesses that showcase his artistic talents and creativity.

"Roberts has prepared me perfectly to not only integrate into the business world with a heightened sense of professionalism and charisma, but also gave me the necessary tools to become either a valued employee or an effective business owner," he shared.

Beyond professional development, Lunex values how Roberts has enhanced his spiritual journey. For him, being at the university has illuminated how God is present in all aspects of life, emphasizing that a Christlike mindset and servant leadership are guiding principles for his future endeavors.

What do you see yourself doing as a career?

After college, I see myself starting a profitable business in a few years where I can implement my artistry and creativity. I am currently a professional tattoo artist, and I plan to continue that and own a shop.

How will your Roberts education help you reach those goals?

Through being at Roberts Wesleyan University, I’ve learned a lot about what a business needs to be profitable in the sense that if there is a need and you can meet that need, you can make a profit. I’ve also learned the importance of the business environment, how to gauge its strengths and weaknesses effectively, and to act accordingly. Roberts has prepared me perfectly to integrate into the business world with a heightened sense of professionalism and charisma, and has given me the necessary tools to become a valued employee or an effective business owner.

How has Roberts impacted your spiritual journey?

Roberts has been quite impactful when it came to my spiritual journey. I haven’t been able to attend chapel as much as I would have liked, but it has helped me get closer to God with the advent of Sunday church. I love how religion is ingrained in what we do and in a way that doesn’t seem overbearing. Roberts has shown me that God is part of everything we do, and as long as we have the Lord’s best interest in what we do, we are on our way, with a Christlike mindset and servant leadership.

How did your needs-based scholarship make a difference in your college experience?

My need-based scholarship made an overwhelming difference in terms of my college experience. It took much of the stress out of my life and helped me pursue something I’ve been working towards for years. I’m at the end of the line now, and regardless of good or bad experiences at Roberts, I would not change a thing. Everything was a great learning experience; I believe I have grown so much through my years here.

What is the best thing about studying your major?

My favorite thing about studying Business Administration was the hands-on experience. The professors and programs are dedicated to not only giving you a great understanding of the business environment, but also challenging students in ways that test our understanding and show us what may await us as we get closer to starting our careers.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Lunex while he's been a student at Roberts and have found him to be a passionate, focused, and driven young adult. He has a clear vision for his future, and his determination and work ethic will undoubtedly serve him well in pursuing his goal of becoming an entrepreneur and owning his own business. Lunex shows a strong ability to take what he has learned in the classroom at RWU and apply it meaningfully to real-world situations. I have every confidence that Lunex will thrive in the business world, bringing both vision and perseverance to whatever opportunities he pursues.
