Donation Information (Coach McCoy Scholarship)

Coach McCoy spent 20 years as both a student-athlete and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University. He is still giving back in so many ways, especially as the color commentator for Men’s Basketball broadcasts. He was known for his compassionate heart for everyone, especially those who were working to change their lives for the better.

There is an unmet need to support a growing segment of potential student-athletes finding a legitimate path to attend college. For many of these students, a viable avenue to reach their academic objective is through a college athletic scholarship. The Coach Rob McCoy Endowed Scholarship will help provide financial assistance for these students who have made a commitment to community service, have displayed strong moral character and have met all educational requirements to earn a college degree that will allow them to set new paths as they achieve their aspirations.
