Profile
Kevin Clifford is in his seventh season as head coach of the Roberts Wesleyan University women’s basketball team, where he has established a legacy of competitive success and player development. Since his hiring in 2018, Clifford has led the Redhawks to historic milestones—including the program’s first East Coast Conference (ECC) tournament championship and NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2021. That postseason run took the team all the way to the Sweet 16, solidifying Roberts as a force in Division II women’s basketball. Under his leadership, the Redhawks have also earned top-four finishes in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) tournaments and consistently competed in the ECC postseason.
Prior to Roberts, Clifford held head coaching roles at Buffalo State College, Mount St. Vincent, and The City College of New York. At each stop, he brought vision, discipline, and results—earning multiple coach of the year honors and helping programs achieve new milestones, including first-time playoff appearances. With a background in psychology and education, Clifford brings a holistic, player-first mindset to coaching, mentoring his student-athletes to grow on and off the court.
