Julie Runion is an Adjunct Professor of Piano, Accompanying, and Piano Pedagogy at Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, NY. She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Houghton College.
With a deep love for collaboration, Julie has performed extensively with student and professional musicians in chamber ensembles and recitals across New York, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Her performance highlights include appearances at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, WXXI’s Live from Hochstein series in Rochester, and the Friends of Music series at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Buffalo.
In addition to her work at Roberts, Julie teaches at the Csehy Summer School of Music and maintains a private piano studio. Her teaching is shaped by the wisdom and mentorship of notable instructors including Joseph Werner, Scott Price, and Sylvia Glickman. Whether in the classroom, on stage, or in the studio, Julie’s passion lies in nurturing musical excellence, creativity, and connection.
