Joseph Werner is a distinguished pianist, educator, and arts leader whose career spans solo performance, chamber music, orchestral playing, and teaching. He has served as Principal Pianist for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 1975 and has performed extensively as a concerto soloist and collaborative artist across the U.S. He currently serves as Director of Piano Studies at Roberts Wesleyan College and Co-Chair of the Piano Department at the Hochstein School. Werner has premiered works by major composers, recorded for numerous labels, and toured internationally as an Artistic Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he continues to shape the next generation of musicians through performance, mentorship, and service.
