The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.
Profile
James Kerwin is an adjunct professor of business at Roberts Wesleyan University, where he has served with distinction since 2003. He teaches across several key areas in the graduate strategic leadership program, including Strategic Management, Organizational Diagnosis and Change, and Financial Management.
With a B.S. in Physics from Lycoming College and a Master’s in Strategic Management from Roberts, James brings both analytical precision and big-picture thinking into the classroom. His students have repeatedly honored him with the Outstanding Faculty Award—recognition of his clarity, care, and impact as an educator.
A lifelong Western New Yorker, James is just as intentional about life outside the classroom. He and his wife, Melissa, have been married for 29 years and raised three children together. He finds renewal through time with family, especially during annual trips to Myrtle Beach and outdoor adventures in the Adirondacks—hiking, camping, and kayaking whenever possible.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
