Georgia Mills

Dr. Georgia M. Mills is a conductor, pianist, and creator of both classical and contemporary music based in Rochester, NY. She currently serves as Assistant Conductor of Eastman School of Music’s Musica Nova Ensemble under the direction of maestro Brad Lubman. A dynamic performer and leader, Dr. Mills earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music, following her M.A. in Music Leadership from Eastman and her B.M. in Piano Performance from New York University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

She has performed with and led ensembles such as Ensemble Signal, OSSIA New Music, Empire Film & Media Ensemble, and Bang on a Can. Her artistry has been showcased at renowned venues including MASS MoCA, the Kennedy Center, Columbia University, and Kodak Hall. A committed advocate for innovation in music, Dr. Mills has held artistic and administrative leadership positions with The Knights, Metropolis Ensemble, Dotdotdot Music, and the Pulsing & Shaking Festival. Her work bridges the traditional and the avant-garde with precision, emotion, and vision.
