Eric Helms

Profile

As a pastor who deeply values theological education, Eric Helms finds great joy and privilege in teaching Scripture and ministry at the collegiate level. His commitment to exploring interpretive approaches to Scripture and understanding the theological foundations of ministry not only supports his pastoral role but also enriches his personal journey in living out the Christian faith.

Eric is most fulfilled when witnessing students grow in their knowledge and develop the ability to think critically about their beliefs and what it means to live faithfully in the world. As someone who both teaches and actively practices ministry, he continues to grow by integrating what he teaches into his own pastoral work—offering students a dynamic learning experience where theory and practice consistently intersect.

When he's not at church or in the classroom, Eric is likely enjoying time with his wonderfully talented children or getting in a casual game of (not very competitive) tennis.
