Students learn the history of the night sky and why it was so important to our ancestors. Students will also learn the planets of the Solar System, what makes eclipses and tides, and our place in the Milky Way; discover the life cycle of stars and what causes their different size and color, uncover what they are made of, and how we know, despite the distance.

In lab, students will use physical equipment and simulations to foster an understanding of astronomy and scientific methods.
